Amazing Performances at the IAIGC Southern Regionals!

Sunday 13th October saw a number of Star-Tastic Gymnasts travel around the M25 to Kingston Gymnastics Centre in Milton Keynes to compete in the IAIGC Southern Regionals.

In the morning rotation saw our Copper 1 Gymnasts perform amazingly well and the following gymnasts all qualified for the World Championships next year : Ciara Baxter, Miley Bowers, Ava Brooks and Tallulah Henderson. Tallulah was our youngest gymnast competing, at only 6 years of age, she took home four medals: 🥇Vault, 🥇 Floor, 🥉3rd Beam

and 🥈All Around.

Following on from our success in Copper 1, we moved on the Diamond and Silver levels the medals and qualifications kept coming! A number of gymnasts took home more than one medal.

In Diamond Maya Brooks took 🥇on the Beam and🥉on Vault, Bars and All Around. There were also Bronzes for Suzanna McDermid (Beam) and Grace Cheal on Bar and Beam. Sophie Jenkins also took 🥇on the Beam in her age group. In the Silver category Jane Rolls took 3 Golds (🥇Floor, Vault and All Around) as well as Silver in Bars and Beam. Esme took Silver on the Floor and Liberty had Bronze on the floor and Silver on the Bars. Victoria Jetten has had a sweep of 4 medals with 2 Bronze(All Around and Bars) Silver in the Beam and Gold on the Vault in her age category..All these girls are part of our coaching team and it is great they still put so much passion into their own performances as they do their coaching.

Finally to round off the day the Copper 2 gymnasts! Layla Abu Samha took🥇on the Vault

and 🥉3rd on the Beam. She qualified for Worlds along with Miya Chan, Emily Butler,

Lyla Reece , Lauren Jarvis and Catherine Pryor.

The following Diamond gymnasts also qualified Sophie Jenkins, Maya Brooks and Grace Cheal.

The following Silver gymnasts qualified for Worlds: Jane Rolls, Esme Spencer, Victoria Jetten and Liberty Campbell.

We are so proud of all the gymnasts and we are so excited that so many gymnasts have already qualified for Worlds and show that their work hard and dedication is really paying off!
